The East Williston School District’s DASA/SPARK Committee aims to build a safe and joyful school community that is welcoming, accepting and inclusive. Each month, the committee coordinates events to recognize the diversity within the schools. The theme this school year is spreading kindness and belonging and focusing on anti-bullying.

Over the past few months at Willets Road School, students have learned about the Dignity for All Students Act, what bullying looks like and what to do when they witness or experience it; made a pledge to help prevent bullying; and learned about gratitude and wrote notes of appreciation to share with someone special.
