Center Street Elementary School in the Herricks School District recently hosted a ribbon cutting for a newly installed playground Communication Board featuring a QR code for nonverbal students.

The development of the Communication Board was spearheaded by parent volunteer Dr. Sepideh Kobylivker. The communication tool features a QR code and is used for nonverbal students to communicate. Students who are part of the STRIVE program will benefit from the installation of this outdoor board.
