PTA Co-President Grace Shim joined the class to share stories, traditions and cultural clothing worn during Lunar New Year. Another parent, Marina Mischner, served students delicious Lunar New Year foods. Students used chopsticks to enjoy Lo Mein, fried dumplings, tangerines, Asian pears and much more.

Students were given a special red envelope for well wishes and good luck in the new year. Other classes at Searingtown, as well as the other buildings in the Herricks Public Schools, also held activities in honor of Lunar New Year.
