Sixth grade students in Barbara Dooley’s class at John Lewis Childs School in the Floral Park-Bellerose School District met for the first time with their kindergarten buddies. Each sixth-grader paired up with one or two kindergartners to talk with them and answer any questions they may have about the school. Throughout the year, the buddies plan to participate in activities and read together, as well as assist with class assignments.
