To celebrate Inclusive Schools Week, Mineola’s Hampton Street School’s art teacher Jaclyn Altman and the school’s special education team had all its students celebrate by creating a mural.

The special week, which ran from Dec. 3-7, celebrated the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population. Every student at Hampton Street added their handprints to a mural, “We All Belong to One Family Tree,” which became a beautiful handprint tree.
