171 Roslyn High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society on Feb. 8. The ceremony took place in the high school auditorium.
The National Honor Society was established in 1921 and is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize high school students.
All students must have a 90 or above unweighted average to be admitted.
Selection into the National Honor Society is based on fidelity to the four tenants of the society: scholarship, service, leadership and character.
“We are so proud of our new inductees and our executive board,” co-advisor Jessica Valente said. “The journey of these students has been marked by hard work and a passion for knowledge. It was a very proud night for Roslyn!”
“We are certain that our newly inducted members will continue embracing the values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character as guiding lights on their path to future successes,” co-advisor Elizabeth Tomao said. “Congratulations to our new inductees and our honorary faculty member Mr. John Figueroa!”
