
Two vehicle accidents in the Roslyn area last week resulted in a fatality and a serious injury, police said.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, a 56-year-old woman died after being struck around 8 p.m. on I.U. Willets Road by a 2018 Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep, 30, remained at the scene.
Police said the woman, whose identity has not been released, was walking in the roadway.Â
As a result of the collision, the woman suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
On Wednesday night, Feb. 9, a 65-year-old man was struck on Northern Boulevard near Middle Neck Road in Flower Hill by a 2019 BMW.
The driver of the car, a 76-year-old man, remained at the scene, authorities said.Â
Police said the victim suffered trauma injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
