An 82 year old man was struck and killed by a car in Roslyn Heights on Saturday night, Nassau County Police said.
The vehicle, a GMC Acadia, was heading north on Mineola Avenue near its intersection with Hillside Avenue when it collided with Sion Bakhshi, of Roslyn, who was crossing the road at 7:22 p.m, according to a police report.
The man was taken to North Shore Manhasset where he was pronounced dead at 7:57 p.m.
There does not appear to be any criminal conduct involved in the accident, police said.
No further injuries were reported.
