More than 15 thousand visitors jumped into the fall season at Mill Neck Family’s Annual Apple Festival on Oct. 6 and 7. A longstanding tradition in the Long Island community since 1957, this year’s festival, which fully benefits deaf children and adults, featured a variety of new activities, rides and delicious food options for its attendees.
Boasting 12 different varieties of apples, tours of the historic Mill Neck Manor, Karl Ehmer specialty meats, carnival rides and games, raffles and prizes, free hearing testing from the Center for Hearing Health, trolley rides, a pie eating contest and more, this special event raises funds to support the deaf community locally and worldwide.
