After two regressive decisions by the Supreme Court and the dissatisfaction with the somnolent pace of the Biden Presidency, it took the younger activists from Act Blue and Emily’s List to energize me by standing up and saying the Baby Boomers must step aside, abandon the gerontocracy and turn over the reins to the 65 million eligible voters from Gen X through millennials to elect younger leaders with energy, new ideas and skills for the tech age.
Zimmerman is an ‘insider’ who has donated to everyone who has endorsed him. He’s a three-time loser in prior elections who will ‘go along to get along’. A very nice man who nonetheless has had problematic statements on issues like immigration.
His ability to build a successful business with both Democrats and Republicans depended upon ‘not rocking the boat’. Just like Schumer, Pelosi, a whole generation forgot the first principle of leadership: identify and develop the future leaders. Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, Stacy Adams all are examples of what we need.
As for Jon Kaiman, his tenure as town supervisor was marked by scandal in the Building Department, Solid Waste, Highway Department, even the Miniature Golf Course.
His public meetings unleashed his violent temper upon constituents who voiced opinions he did not like. At NIFA, he alienated the other board members while famously approving an $8 million contract that when questioned, said he thought it was $4 million which is why “it’s good to have more eyes on it.”
Andrew Cuomo and Jay Jacobs have enabled Jon to get positions like his last one assisting Steve Bellone. Without their help, other politicians described Jon Kaiman as “unemployable”.
I endorse Josh A. Lafazan

But Steven, what about Melanie D’Arrigo??
Did you think she wasn’t worth mentioning?
If so, I disagree!
I’ve visited her website, looked at where she stands on the issues, and I really do think *she* is the candidate to support. Please consider voting for Melanie D’Arrigo in today’s primary!
