It is with pleasure that I write to wholeheartedly endorse Michael Tretola for member of the Port Washington Board of Education. Michael is my friend and neighbor and one of the first people I met when I moved to Port Washington almost nine years ago. Michael and his family invited us into their lives with warmth and have proven to be loyal friends who are supportive in the good times and the not so easy times.
Michael is a father to a wonderful young lady who has made tremendous strides as a student with special needs at Guggenheim Elementary School. His experience as a parent in our school system has undoubtedly fueled his passion and awareness of students’ needs as individuals. Just as he immersed himself in learning about the best resources to help his daughter, he would work with our school leaders and community members to ensure no stone is left unturned when considering resources to meet our children’s needs.
As a board member, Michael would be an empathetic liaison between the community and our school system. At the end of the day, he has a heart of gold and sincerely just wants what’s best for our kids. Please find a moment to go to Michael Tretola’s facebook page (@Michael Tretola for Port Washington BOE Trustee; #MikeT4BOE) to learn more about his priorities and experiences. He would be a great asset to our community as a member of our Board of Education. Please vote on May 17.
