Readers Write: Rosen, Marksheid and DeLuccia understand Plaza’s needs

I write this letter in support of Ted Rosen for re-election as mayor of the Village of Great Neck Plaza.

I have known Ted for more than thirty years.  We are backyard neighbors. Ted is an ethical, honest and hardworking individual who has sought to make our Village a better place for our residents and to bring new businesses into our downtown.

I am also supporting Ted’s running mates, Pam Marksheid and Michael DeLuccia, who are both running for re-election as trustees.  Pam is a deputy mayor and trustee and is always trying a make the Village a better place in which to live. I have known Pam for many years, since our now adult sons were at Great Neck South together.  Michael is a trustee and had previously served the Village for several years as the chairman of the Village’s Zoning Board of Appeals.

I was moved to send this letter after receiving a mailing from the individuals running against Ted, Pam, and Michael, which essentially urged that I vote for them because Ted and his team had been working on behalf of the Village for many years and that it was time for new blood. I respectfully disagree. I want my mayor and other elected representatives to fully understand the Village, how things work, and what to do when issues arise.

I know how hard Ted and his running mates have worked to improve things in the Village of Great Neck Plaza and I look forward to having them leading our Village for years to come.

I am voting for Ted Rosen, Pam Marksheid and Michael Deluccia and I ask my fellow residents of the Plaza to do the same.
