Readers Write: Re-elect Williston Park officials

Paul Ehrbar: Paul Ehrbar has decided to seek re-election for mayor of the Village of Williston Park. Paul, his wife Doreen, a former mayor, and three children moved to Williston Park in 1975. Over the past 12 years, as mayor working with a dedicated board, many positive improvements have been put in place on all levels throughout the Village to benefit our residents. His vision for the future is ongoing and this will continue if re-elected mayor.

“As mayor, I have been available to residents seven days a week, 24 hours a day. I am in the office daily, Monday through Friday, having an open-door policy. I have been available nights and weekends whenever needed. I have worked with both Village committees and community groups beginning in 1977. I have been dedicated to working with all seniors whenever possible and will continue to do so. I have been accessible in person and by cell phone (516-941-8463) throughout my term as mayor. I, with the support of the Board, have worked hard to keep taxes low, while improving services throughout the Village and will continue to do so.”

Kevin Rynne: Kevin Rynne, current deputy mayor, is seeking re-election as Village trustee. Kevin, his wife Marianne and three children have been longtime residents of Williston Park. Kevin, prior to election as Village trustee, has been dedicated to our valued youth with Williston Park Little League, St. Aidan’s sport teams and Herricks sport team. He brings a positive attitude in all that he has been involved with. Since becoming a trustee 12 years ago, he has left his mark on all aspects of the Village.

“As deputy mayor I have worked closely with both the mayor and board to help make improvements for this great Village, we all call home. I have worked extremely hard to assist wherever and whenever I have been able. I remain accessible to all residents.”

Bill O’Brien: Bill O’Brien is seeking re-election for Village Trustee as part of the Integrity Team Party ticket along with Mayor Paul Ehrbar, Deputy Mayor Kevin Rynne and Village Justice Kevin Kiley. Bill, his wife Colleen and their four children have been residents of Williston Park for 24 years. Bill has been an active member of the community. He was a Special Education Religion teacher for almost 10 years. He coached girls’ volleyball and boys’ basketball for Saint Aidan’s CYO. He was a part of Cub Scout Troop. He is currently the Vice President of the Williston Park Little League.

“I believe that continuing as a trustee is an opportunity to help the current board continue their outstanding work in making Williston Park one of the best places to live on Long Island. I believe that effective communication skills, the ability to make informed decisions and respect for the residents of Williston Park will go a long way in helping the current Board improve the quality of life and maintain fiscal strength for all residents of Williston Park.”
