Hildur Palsdottir’s excellent article on recycling neglected to mention how the plastics industry quietly undermines the whole effort.
The industry dutifully imprints each item’s recycling number inside the chasing arrow symbol.
But you can’t read it! The image is so small that even with prescription reading glasses and a magnifying glass, I still have no idea what the numbers are. What a con job! Clearly, the plastics industry has no interest in recycling.
