A dear friend passed along the July 8 issue of the Manhasset Times.

I thought I would be reading about local issues involving the very affluent villages on Nassau County’s north shore.

Silly me! Little did I know that I was reading a far-left appendage of the National Democratic Committee!

The editorial position and the screed of the op-ed writers was an eye opener.

I guess the sky is falling and freedom in America is dead. Shall we all plan to move to another country?

My view is that all I read was, well, just rubbish!
