Readers Write: Lee Zeldin might like Trump, but New Yorkers don’t

January 6th — a day where armed rioters inspired by former President Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol, leading to the deaths of brave police officers like Brian Sicknick — happened almost two years ago.

And yet, people like Lee Zeldin are still fundraising with Trump and making money off his likeness, even going so far as to say that he would be open to campaigning with him in the future.

New Yorkers do not want Trump or his politics back in our state.

Perhaps Zeldin already knows that, since he decided to fundraise with him in New Jersey instead of his own state, but it won’t stop him from making a quick buck for his failing campaign anyway.

Money aside, Zeldin cannot and should not expose New Yorkers to Trump and his hateful MAGA politics again.
