The Board of Commissioners of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District would like to announce our support for Proposal Number Two, which is on the ballot this November. This amendment proposes a 10-year extension of sewer project debt exclusion from debt limits.

Over the past years, when this exclusion was first put into place, we have seen numerous municipalities throughout Long Island replace aging septic tanks with modern sewer systems.

By excluding the construction costs of these projects from the debt limit, we are encouraging the expansion of sewer infrastructure throughout our state, helping to preserve our environment for generations to come.

We hope to see Proposal Number Two pass on Election Day.
