FBI Director Christopher Wray’s recent testimony to Congress expressing his concern of evil actors willing to do us harm is troubling.
President Biden in 2021 delegated Vice President Kamala Harris as the “border czar,” which has failed to keep us safe.
There were 11 “terror watchlist encounters” at the southern border during the Trump/Pence administration.
In 3 1/2 years of the Biden/Harris administration, there have been a staggering 375 “terrorist watchlist encounters.”
In 2021, there was a sizable increase in the border recidivism rate. A Congressional Research Service report cites a lack of penalties for illegal re-entry as a reason behind this change.
When you allow approximately 15 million unvetted illegals to enter the U.S. over the last four years, there will be bad actors seeking to do harm. Jocelyn Nungaray (13), Laken Riley (22), and Rachel Morin (37) are just some of the high-profile murders that happened over the last year. No country can survive and function well with an open border which stresses many states and cities across the U.S.
New York City has an explosive $5-billion-plus deficit for next year. New York State has an estimated $9-billion-plus deficit. These figures are simply unsustainable due to the migrant crisis. The failed border situation has necessitated hotel housing, health benefits, food and education provided to thousands of migrants in New York.
A $15-billion-plus budget deficit between New York City and New York State is unsustainable. New York City is the financial engine for the downstate region, which can’t maintain such crippling deficits. In 1975 there were widespread government layoffs in New York, including police officers. Can a repeat of 1975 happen again in New York? Wait and see.
