I first met Tasneem when our sons attended preschool together about 10 years ago. It’s through this friendship that myself and my family have gotten to really know her and could easily sum up her many admirable qualities like honesty, integrity and devotion to family, friends and community.
She has always been a dedicated supporter of the school district and community through her volunteerism on various school PTO committees and her most recent role as a School Board Trustee.
Tasneem’s leadership during her first year as a school board member played a vital role in helping to formulate our district’s unique and successful strategy in regards to COVID.
When many schools were closing, she along with the Board, was able to steer our district through this unprecedented time and helped to keep our kids in school and give them some sense of normalcy.
Her experience on the Board has given her the chance to dive deep into the finances of our district, balancing the needs and safety of our children, while striving to maintain the district’s level of academic excellence. Tasneem is also an experienced lawyer, practicing Corporate law at a large NYC firm prior to moving to Long Island.
It is Tasneem’s passion for family, our community, excellence in academics, and her dedication to our district that makes Tasneem an excellent member of our Board of Education. She has and will continue to, listen to and collaborate with the students, parents and families in our district to find solutions to the issues that are sure to arise in the future. We need someone with Tasneem’s experience, dedication and passion representing us on the board; and she needs us!
