North Hempstead elected officials welcomed Port Washington resident Scott Trimarchi and his family to Town Hall on Sept. 25.
Town officials honored Trimarchi for his quick thinking this past summer when he helped save a neighbor and his neighbor’s dog who were trapped on the upper floor of a nearby home that was engulfed in fire. He was presented with a proclamation of recognition in honor of his heroic actions.
