The North Hempstead Volunteer Team of AARP is holding open enrollment meetings for prospective new volunteers on Thursday, May 16 and Thursday, June 20. The meetings will be held at 12 p.m. at the Hillside Public Library on Lakeville Road in New Hyde Park, just north of Jericho Turnpike, on the second floor.
New prospective volunteers will be welcomed and provided with information on current AARP initiatives in the local community and statewide, including: local beautification, public advocacy, stocking food banks, caregiving, document shredding, etc. New volunteers will be invited to assist with any of AARP’s current programs as well as share in AARP’s multi-cultural activities.
