North Hempstead honored with Hofstra innovation award

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth attended Hofstra University’s Innovation Awards on Oct. 11 at the Hofstra New School of Business’ Idea Hub.

North Hempstead was honored for its 311 call system and Open Checkbook initiative as well as for being a leader in governmental openness and transparency.

Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman presented Supervisor Bosworth with the Innovation Award to commemorate the Town’s outstanding achievements.
