State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso recently attended a meeting and holiday party of the Council of Greater Manhasset Civic Association.
At the event he presented a citation to the honoree Marion Endrizzi who was recognized for all that she had done for the community.
Some of her accomplishments include being the Mayor of Plandome Heights, a past President of the Plandome Heights Civic Association which she helped to reactivate.
She was named as a Nassau County Outstanding Woman of Achievement, inducted into the Town of North Hempstead May W Newburger’s Roll of Honor, founded the Plandome Heights “tree program” to plant new trees in the village after a tree disease claimed many historic maples in the Bournedale area. Marion is affectionately known as the “Guardian of Plandome Road Park.”
Tony recently presented a citation to her mother, Marie Devito, at her 100th birthday celebration.
“It was truly my honor to present Marion with a citation to acknowledge all she has done for our community. Her efforts as a volunteer working to improve her community have made it more a more appealing village for the residents as a place to live, raise their families and educate their children,” said D’Urso.
