Former U.S. Congressman Steve Israel visited Project Independence’s book club on Dec. 14 to discuss “Big Guns,” his novel about the firearms industry, politics in Washington and a small town on Long Island.

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth also joined the group for the discussion. Israel talked about the book and took questions about the novel.
