North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth attended a Holi festival at North Hempstead Beach Park on Sunday, March 24. Holi, a Hindu spring festival, is also known as the “festival of colors” and is celebrated on the last full moon in the lunar month of Phalguna. The celebration marks the end of winter and represents the triumph of good over evil. The event consisted of throwing colorful powder, sweet treats and dancing.
