Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso welcomed Dr. Michael J. Hynes, an advocate for whole-child education and newly appointed Superintendent of the Port Washington Union Free School District.

Hynes came from the Patchogue-Medford School District, where he served as superintendent since 2014. He replaced Dr. Kathleen Mooney, who recently retired.
