Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso visited the Harbor Child Care located at the Herricks Community Center to see the new playground which was built using $125K state funds from a grant. The new playground has custom playground equipment for different age groups. This unique playground has an upright piano, a glockenspiel and a weather station that preschoolers can use to learn about the weather. It also has tables and seats for children to sit outside and new planters. The entire area was resurfaced with a rubber surface for safety.
“Children need recreation and a place to safely play where they can climb and use their imaginations. This playground will be able to provide the children with hours of safe fun playing,” said Assemblyman D’Urso.
