Two people saved from sinking boat in Half Moon Bay

Two people were saved from a sinking boat in Half Moon Bay Friday afternoon, according to a Nassau County Police Department report.

The two individuals saved did not report any injuries at the scene, according to police.

Nassau County police said that 911 received a call for a sinking 2022 38’ Formula boat in the Sands Point water around 4 p.m. Friday.

Both individuals, a 41-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, were brought onto another passing boat to evade their sinking vehicle.
