Readers Write: Staff overkill in Roslyn ed vote?

I am one of those people who say I am going to write a letter to the editor and then never do so. However, this time I decided to do so because I am still bothered by what I think is a waste of school funds.

Recently I participated in the Roslyn school budget vote. I voted at the Roslyn High School and was surprised to see that there was an over abundance of people working there to handle the voting procedure. I was also informed that voting was taking place in ALL the Roslyn school buildings.

I believe that when we have federal and state elections in November, there is only one or two facilities to handle those votes, which by the way attract many times more voters. Just curious as to how much money it cost us to keep all our schools open and have them staffed to handle this small local vote .
