Readers Write: Trump behind rise in anti-Semitism

To think that Joan Swirsky believes that Donald Trump, who proclaimed “there are fine people on both sides” after the Charlottesville tragedy, whose anti-Semitic remarks have been chronicled by his niece, is a better candidate than Joe Biden is terrifying.

Ms. Swirsky is correct; we can never forget the Holocaust or dismiss FDR’s lack of intervention to save the Jews of Europe.

But we now face a present danger: the end of democracy and a continuation of the current increase in racism and anti-Semitism if Trump is allowed to have a second term.

To quote Ms.Swirsky, “your choice.”

  1. Yes! Trump is a terrible threat to the Jews
    1. He has Jewish children and grandchildren.
    2. His first trip was to Israel.
    3. He stated over and over how cold Obama had been to Israel.
    4. He got rid of the horrible Iran deal which helped our enemy, Iran and threatened Israel.
    5. He declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel.
    6. He moved our embassy to Jerusalem.
    7. He and the Republicans supported and passed a stand alone resolution condemning anti
    Semitism. Not the Democrats.
    8. He has stated over and over again how appalled he is about anti Semitism.
    9. He helped the UAE and Israel craft this peace accord.
This is just for starters. Thank God the chill toward Israel from Obama is over!!! In the eighties, Senator Biden threatened to cut off Israeli aid. Begin told him “we are not Jews with trembling knees” and not to threaten him. Leave Biden in the basement where he belongs!

  2. Before passing blame one should read the following:

What is causing the spike in anti-Semitic attacks in Brooklyn?
“Evan Bernstein, the ADL’s New York regional director, says kids in the city are learning to hate from a mix of influences, including parents who might have lived through the 1991 Crown Heights riots, which began after a black boy was killed accidentally by a car escorting Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the late head of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement, which is headquartered in the neighborhood. The death touched off three days of rioting in which black youths attacked religious Jews, killing one.”
The reader will find the complete article very informative.
