Just for the record, I look forward to reading Karen Rubin’s column (Viewpoint) each week. She has an excellent understanding of our country’s past and present policies and how they are presenting a challenge to going forward in a just and productive manner.
She presents the laws and their positions in today’s society which bring to light questions regarding the democratic means of ensuring that the rights of the people who make up our country are protected.
Questioning and criticizing actions and decisions of late is necessary in order that divisions in our multiethnic population and power held by less than a consensus be called into question and examined in order that decisions can be representative of the general public.
