It has just come to my attention about a lawsuit by NY1 anchors Jeanine Ramirez, Vivian Lee, Kristen Shaughnessy, Amanda Fairnacci and Roma Torre. The suit concerns age and gender discrimination and that I find really sad.

I watch NY1 news and have found these ladies have presented the news in a most informative manner. There should not be any sex or age discrimination in this day and age.

I myself am 70 years old this year and have worked for a plumbing supply in Mineola for 40 years. I even came down with cancer five years ago and after I was cleared, I was welcomed back.

Now that is a company with compassion and didn’t consider my age but my experience in getting the job done. Too bad some companies lack concern for loyal employees who do a good job.
