My husband and I have owned a home in Manorhaven for over 60 years. We raised our children here and still love living in our lovely community. I can’t remember when the Village government has run so well as it has over the past six years since Jim Avena became our mayor.
Our streets are cleaner and are finally getting paved, snow removal is better than I’ve ever known it and I understand that the budget is in such great shape that we actually have a substantial surplus.
Jim Avena has an incredible resume, having managed hundreds of employees for huge companies and has his degree in accounting. That combination of management and finance is making a huge difference in how the Village is run and how finances are managed.
I think we are extremely lucky that Jim Avena wants to continue to make our village even more special. I hear some people say, “It’s time for a change.” Why change just for change’s sake when the Village is running better than it ever has?!
We are voting for Jim Avena, Rita Di Lucia and Dan Garcia in the June 21 election and I encourage my Manorhaven neighbors to do the same. .
