Readers Write: Family members should not serve in town government together

Considering that Sharon Troiano, family member to Robert Troiano has worked in the tax department of the Town of North Hempstead alongside tenured tax receiver Charles Berman, claims of ignorance made by Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth regarding Mr. Troianos’ undisclosed tax liens holds no water.

Further, employing two family members within the same town government violates town, county and state anti-nepotism and anti-cronyism laws including New York State’s Constitution.

Concentrated public integrity violations are veneer to organized criminal activity, therefore, treat it as such.
