Readers Write: Keller would be great trustee

Earlier this month, Bill Keller advised me that he would be running for a position as a Trustee of the Port Washington Public Library.

I was immediately struck by what a great decision this was, for Bill’s experience, personal and professional, would make him a great trustee for our Library.

Bill’s connections to Port go way back and include being raised here and graduating from Schreiber.

Bill’s youngest child is a student at Schreiber, and Bill’s involvement in education in Port includes serving on the Salem and Weber Home & School Associations, the Advisory Board for The Education Foundation, as well as being a member of the Legislative & Governmental Affairs Committee for the Port Washington School District.

Bill’s position as vice president for Finance and Administration of Queens College requires expertise in budgeting, strategic planning, technology and human resources, all areas critical to guiding such a valuable resource as the Port Washington Public Library and maintaining its important position in our community.

I heartily endorse Bill’s candidacy for Port Washington Public Library trustee.
