A 28-year-old woman was found unresponsive in a swimming pool gym in Thomaston Saturday, Nassau County Police said.
Police said an employee at the Equinox Gym at 90 East Shore Road found the woman facedown in the facility’s pool at 8:05 p.m.
It is unknown how long the woman was in the pool for prior to being discovered, police said.
A county police ambulance brought the victim to a local hospital, police said, where she remains in critical condition.
Police said an investigation is currently ongoing.
