Village of Roslyn-based insurance provider Fabricant & Fabricant received approval for a 2,626 square-foot second story addition at the Village of Roslyn Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday.
Ken Fabricant, who is operating under RFK LLC, first appeared in front of the board in March to request the additional space for office space at the firm’s location at 1251 Old Northern Blvd.
He said the company wanted to construct the addition because it had outgrown its current space, and would also need the space if it completed its plans to purchase another agency.
Fabricant said on Tuesday the zoning board approved the project and is requiring a payment of $22,000 to the village parking fund.
Although his office has currently has 11 parking spaces, the addition resulted in an 11-space deficiency.
Village of Roslyn Mayor John Durkin called for the approval of the project, which required a special-use permit.
In other business, Village Engineer Nick DeSantis of Newport Engineering presented the board with the Village of Roslyn MS4 Annual Storm Water Management Report, which he said is available for viewing on the village website.
The board will not be holding a meeting in August.
Its next meeting will be held on Sept. 15 at Village Hall.
