U.S. Rep. King to speak at campaign fundraiser for town council candidate Barket

U.S. Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) will appear at a fundraiser September 2 in support of Manhasset resident Mary Kay Barket’s campaign for the Town of North Hempstead’s District 4 council seat, which is currently held by Great Neck Democrat Anna Kaplan.

King, who represents New York’s 2nd congressional district, which lies on Long Island’s south shore, is slated to give the keynote address during the event.

The fundraiser will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Colbeh Restaurant, located at the Andrew Hotel at 75 N Station Plaza in Great Neck.

Tickets are $250 per person, $500 for “silver sponsors,” $1,000 for “gold sponsors” and $2,500 for “platinum sponsors.”

Barket, who operates a consulting business out of her residence, has worked for various insurance and reinsurance companies to make the Fortune 500 list, including General Re, Zurich Re and Guy Carpenter, the insurance arm of Marsh and McLennan Companies.
