Town to host ‘Spooky Walk’ at Clark Garden

Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, swamp monsters and many of their gruesome friends will inhabit the 12-acre park at Clark Botanic Garden for the Town of North Hempstead’s popular Spooky Walk on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The event is expected to draw thousands of visitors, who will experience a smoggy, spine-tingling walk through the realm of fear and fright that will be Clark Botanic Garden.  The cost of admission is $5 per person.

On Oct. 24, telescopes, exhibits and hands-on activities will be provided for star gazing children by Hofstra University’s Astronomy Outreach Program in partnership with the Amateur Observer’s Society of New York. Equipment is funded through a NASA astronomy outreach grant to Hofstra University and will allow children to see close-up views of the planets, and colorful double stars.

Support local journalism by subscribing to your Blank Slate Media community newspaper for just $50 a year.

Spooky Walk may not be suitable for young children, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.  Younger children can enjoy the Not-So-Spooky-Walk on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 12 to 4 p.m.  Not-So-Spooky-Walk’s price of admission is $3 per person.

Featuring more than 12-acres of planted, well-manicured grounds, Clark Botanic Garden, located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson, is the perfect setting for North Hempstead’s ultra-popular annual Halloween extravaganza.
