A Roslyn Heights man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that took place Wednesday, according to the Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau.
The department reports that a man entered the Chase Bank at 425 Glen Cove Road in Roslyn Heights around 9:25 a.m.
“The subject approached the teller and passed a note demanding money,” the department said in a statement. “The teller complied and the subject fled with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.”
There were four employees and two customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery, police said and no injuries were reported. It was not mentioned if a weapon was involved in the incident.
Police said that after “a thorough investigation was conducted,” Darren Lindo of Roslyn Heights was arrested later that day.
Lindo has been charged with robbery in the third degree and is scheduled to be arraigned today in Mineola.
