A boutique gym is coming to Long Island this weekend to raise heart rates and give workout lovers a quick, high-intensity routine.
Solidcore, a Washington, D.C.-based chain, opens its 23rd gym nationwide and first New York location Saturday at 250 S. Service Rd. in Roslyn Heights.
The opening day class schedule begins at 7 a.m. for the early birds with classes every hour through 1 p.m. Classes for weekdays are morning, afternoon and evening to accommodate all types of work schedules.
Class spots are booked in advance as well as multi-class packages on the Solidcore website. An introductory first class pass is $19 and single classes are $37 after that. Special opening offers are available for a $250 10-class pass, regularly $340, and a $319-per-month unlimited class pass, regularly $399.

The Solidcore program revolves around a 50-minute, high-intensity, low-impact workout that is intentionally done slowly to lengthen and tone the muscles, allowing them to heal while becoming longer and stronger.
Manager Humberto Galvan and the five other trainers focus on helping their clients with their specialized machine, the Sweatlana, a platform that moves into different positions and uses multiple resistance springs and leather straps to enhance the workout.

Other businesses have partnered with Solidcore for their grand opening, with Full House Organic offering certified organic salads for patrons after their workouts this weekend as well as complimentary eyebrow shaping with Truth + Beauty from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
