Nassau County police are investigating a burglary incident that occurred at the Roslyn Heights home of a 54 year old woman in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police say the woman who was with her teenage son at the time heard noises in her basement, turned on the light to check and but didn’t see anything.
She returned to her living room to find the assailant fleeing from the side of the home.
After an investigation, police said the assailant had entered the house through the basement.
The suspect is described as six feet tall, 150 pounds wearing a blue jacket and jeans.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-244-TIPS.
