Village of Roslyn trustees on Tuesday adjourned discussion on a proposed law to define a through lot following a public hearing.
Village Attorney Chris Prior said the law is intended to clarify lots located between two streets. It would also prohibit a detached garage on new and reconstructed structures.
“Let’s eliminate the confusion on which is considered the front yard and what is considered the rear yard” Prior said.
The proposed law would mark the front of the home based on the wall of the home closest to the street.
Prior stated that the village wants homeowners with typical interior lot homes to gain access from the front of their property.
In other business, D&B Engineers and Architects Engineer Steven Patak presented an update on current roadway construction projects.
