Police seek man who allegedly robbed New Hyde Park drug store

Nassau County Crime Stoppers is seeking a man who they say robbed a CVS in New Hyde Park in mid July.

Police said the unidentified man was observed on surveillance cameras removing boxes of Claritin from store shelves around 5:30 p.m. on July 14, and told store employees he had a gun when they approached him.

The man then fled the store, located at 310 Hillside Avenue, police said.

Authorities described the suspect as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-eight in height with a medium build, wearing black baggy jeans, a blue t-shirt and Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap and earrings in both ears.

Crime Stoppers has requested that anyone with information about the incident call its toll-free hotline at 1-800-244-TIPS.
