The Town of North Hempstead has set its three hearing dates for its 2016 budget.
Hearings and a public comment session will take place Oct. 13, Oct. 20 and Oct. 29, with the town council voting on the budget on Oct. 29.
Each town council meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at North Hempstead town hall, located at 220 Plandome Road in Manhasset.
This marks the second straight year that the town’s budget would be voted on prior to election day.
North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth has said scheduling the budget hearings in October was among her administration’s priorities.
