The misconception that abortion causes breast cancer is not valid. Several medical organizations such as the World Health Organization, the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the National Cancer Institutes of Health have concluded that there is no causative link between abortion and breast cancer.
The accusation that Carolyn McCarthy is supporting “a corrupt organization” is totally unfounded and a vicious untruth. The facts are that Planned Parenthood Health Centers provide three million men, women and young people with access to affordable lifesaving preventative health care per year.
This includes one million pap tests, 830,000 breast exams and 4 million HIV and STD tests and treatments.
