New Hyde Park-Mineola Runner’s Club members contribute donations of fiction and non-fiction books to incarcerated youths at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining during a meeting held at Tully Park on Sunday, Nov.23.
To date the runner’s club has collected and delivered more than 1,000 books to the facility.
The Memorial High School Library and Hillside Public Library, have both gratefully been participating in the program started by the runners, as well, with great thanks to all involved.
