Leigh, Oestreich and Rice elected to Port BID board

Cindie Leigh, Annette Oestreich and Donna Rice were elected to the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District Board of Directors for a two-year term as Class A/Property Owner directors.

The announcement was made Thursday. Leigh received 56 votes, while Oestreich and Rice both received 55. Paul Oleksiw received only 39 votes, placing him outside the top three elected openings.

James Barber, the only Class B Commercial Tenant Candidate on the ballot, received no votes.

Each Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District member receives one vote. If an owner is also a tenant, they must specify which class they will cast their vote under.

The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District seeks to improve the Port Washington area’s economic and business health through marketing, promotion, physical improvements, and enhanced municipal services.
