From what I’ve seen of the candidates for Great Neck Park Commissioner, Neil Leiberman is the only one who looks outside the box to talk about ways he would improve programming and facilities, and not simply cut the budget.
He has ideas about creating a tai chi club at the Village Green and yoga at Steppingstone Park, creating band nights on the Village Green, bringing back the sailing regattas, the tennis ladder and round robins at Memorial, and pool parties that would also generate non-tax revenue by improving the food concession sales.
How fabulous would these be!
He has a vision for our parks that enhances our community.
