Korean American Assoc. installs incoming officers

The Korean American Association of Long Island held an installation ceremony for their incoming officers on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman welcomed the group at North Hempstead’s Town Hall and thanked them for working with the town on various initiatives, including North Hempstead’s Asian American Festival.

“Your organization plays an important role in our community,” Kaiman said. “The way you preserve your traditions while sharing your culture with us is part of what makes this country so great.”  

Those who were sworn in included newly elected President Debi Sunhea Kim, Chairman of the Board Peter Dongwon Kim, Vice Presidents Sang Yong Kim, Young Hee Lee, and Daniel Lee, and General Secretary Angela Jongsoon Park.
